I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason and if you’ve seen before, you’ll remember I’ve mentioned book publishing as one of my goals to accomplish. It would be a long, challenging one, and maybe it’s right for me, and maybe it isn’t, but when I received the first email from Molly O’Neill inquiring about a logo design, I could not have been more happy and excited for the fact that she was a literary agent! How crazy right?!
Molly resides in Brooklyn, NY and has been in the industry for 15 years now specializing in children’s and young adult book publishing. She just recently started a new job as a Literary Agent at Waxman Leavell and wanted a hand lettered logo design including her name and title that fit her occupation and matched her personality. So we worked together to create just that!
I dove in with black ink to start with and then through the process provided her with other color options that she had wanted to see. We also designed two versions of her logo, one horizontal to fit in the header space on her website, and a stacked version to use in other places such as Instagram and Twitter.
