So if you can remember, this was in the very first post in black and white as one of the giveaway options. Although I do love the black and white, I wanted to come back to this design and do some color exploration with it. As you know, the possibilities are endless, but I wanted to get some of your opinions on what you like?! Or would like to see? I’d appreciate any comments!
Located in Fitzroy, Melbourne, Australia, The Lark Store’s main design elements were designed by designer and illustrator Laura Blythman. Both store and designer have an ongoing design collaboration which I absolutely loved watching unfold over Instagram. Laura created a beautiful hand-lettered storefront window that serves as the store’s exterior signage. As you continue throughout the interior, Laura also designed a floor to ceiling paper feather wall installation, and other decor and display concepts. A section of the store also showcases her work that is for sale. Such a fun, awesome, and energetic collaboration!
So oddly enough, I never use to be a huge flower person until a few years ago. Of course now, I absolutely love them! I try to buy them for myself every few weeks or so just to have around, and to add in something new to my space. I also think it’s safe to say that I’m pretty stuck on peonies right now. The pale pink and white hues are my top favorites. They’re so clean and classy. So here I wanted to combined some simple brushlettering and illustration together of my own!
Happy Valentine’s Day! So, I’m obsessed with this geometric heart. I’ve seen this gift bag about five times in my most recent trips to Target and told myself to not buy it, thinking I’d never use it. I of course finally caved! I figured who better to use it for than my Mom! She’s always doing such sweet little things for me so I wanted to wrap her Valentine’s gift up just perfect. I found some heart print tissue paper while I was there and then used some extra gold ribbon that I had at home. I wish someone would wrap up my gifts like this! Have a great Valentine’s Day!
